Week of May 3, 2015

Considering all we get accomplished in a week it is pitiful how many pictures I didn't take this week.  We got a few highlights throughout the week but, we did much, much more.

This week our theme was Legos!  This was the perfect theme for the boys and the girls had a lot of fun with it, too.  All the kids came over Monday and we had fun using Legos to measure 3 of the kids stuffed animals.  Then we compared their sizes.

Tuesday the boys came over and we painted using Legos.  The kids decided using just Legos wasn't enough so they also painted with their feet.

Wednesday the girls and I had a great time with Naomi, Boaz and Selah shopping at Sprouts and Target and eating out.  We were able to find some cheap sand toys for the girls' new sandbox.  It has been raining so much since Wednesday that we haven't been able to head outside and play with them.  After our lunch we went to the library for some new books.

Thursday the boys came over again and despite the rain the kids had a lot of fun playing together and building with Legos.

Friday Daddy had a class he had to go to for work so the girls and I went with him.  We ate ice cream and went grocery shopping while waiting for Daddy to get done with class.  We had a movie night and watched Shrek.  Then Hannah came over for a visit.

Saturday was super busy!  Katie had dress rehearsal for her recital Saturday morning.  We all went because Rich needed to practice for his finale with Katie.  Audrey enjoyed watching the practice at first but, she very quickly grew restless.  We were there over 3 hours....way too long!  Saturday night was Katie's recital.  She loved watching all the dancers perform and did beautifully on stage.  At the end of the show Daddy went up with Katie and all the other dancers and dads to do a dance.  Audrey got to stay with Hannah at our house because the show started so late.

Hannah fixed Katie's hair into a bun.

Sunday the girls and I relaxed around the house after a long Saturday night.

Katie loves this baby doll.  I think it's because it looks like a real baby and she can brush her hair.  She takes care of her and plays with her almost daily.

The girls' butterflies have started hatching!  Katie drew pictures of her butterflies in her journal.
