Week of April 17, 2016

This week has been so much fun and a complete change of pace from our normal week.  All of the girls friends have been sick this week so we enjoyed lots of quiet time at home and some fun outings.

Monday we read lots of books, worked on our writing, reading and math.

Audrey usually works on the same writing sheet as Katie.  Sometimes she really wants to try and write the letter and other times she just wants to color.  Monday she decorated her page with do-a-dot markers.
Of course, there's always some silliness with these two goofballs.

Tuesday was stormy so the girls and I went out for some coffee at a little shop we just started going to.  The girls got some frozen hot chocolates.  We took our "coffees" to hobby lobby and enjoyed walking around the whole store.  The girls have hit just the right age to really enjoy hobby lobby and for me to be able to not worry about them possibly breaking some items.  Katie picked out a sticker mosaic project and Audrey picked out a how to draw pets book.  They both got some little toy boats.  When we got home the rain had slowed down to a drizzle so the girls took their boats into the backyard and played in the rain.

Audrey's birthday present from us came Tuesday night.  Daddy decided to put it together before the girls went to bed.

We spent the rest of the week on school work, playing at the park and having fun around the house.

Katie rinsing the beans for our dinner.

The girls playing Candy Land.

Saturday was Audrey's birthday and birthday party.  Katie gave Audrey her gift early in the morning.

Grandma, Vicki and Ricky came early and we went out to Taco Bueno for lunch before the party.  Audrey (and Katie) opened some of their presents.

Audrey had a Paw Patrol birthday!

Katie made this for Audrey to decorate her birthday table.  She said it had 3 feathers on each side because Audrey was 3-years-old.

Blowing out her candles.

Enjoying cake and ice cream.

Playing with some of their gifts.

Having another piece of cake later that evening on the back porch.

Reading a book on the patio before bed.
