Weeks of November 16 and November 23, 2014

We've had a whirlwind of two weeks with so much going on that I hardly know where to begin.

Daddy and his girls got a couple fires going...the girls have done really well learning how to stay safe around the fire and Katie has enjoyed helping Daddy add sticks to keep the fire going.

Katie has been doing special art projects after Audrey goes to bed.

Knox and Brex have come over for playdates.  The boys and Katie looked through a newly discovered book where they had to find the duck hidden on each page.  This book has quickly become a favorite with both Katie and Audrey.

Silly Audrey trying to get Katie to laugh while Katie pretends to sleep.

Katie loving on her Lillie dog.

We made a trip to the donut shop for some delicious pumpkin donuts.

We had a fairy tale themed week.  Katie worked on a shape castle.

We told the story of Jack and the Beanstalk with the felt board then, the kids took turns retelling the story.  This activity was a huge hit and the kids spent the better part of the day telling the story over and over.

Then we made beanstalks out of construction paper and the kids drew Jack and the giant.

We've enjoyed some beautiful days outside.  Audrey is still crazy about Jack.  She loves to feed him.

The girls usually have some art project in the works.

Beau is crazy about the girls.  He flew onto Daddy's head while he was reading a story.

Katie feeds him broccoli and apples from her hand.  Lots of times he will come to the bottom of his cage when the girls are near and dance with them.

The kids made a mat man while learning about body shapes and the number of body parts.

Then they used their mat man pieces like drums to play along with a song called, "Tap, Tap".

The big kids played dominoes while Audrey took a nap.  It was a real challenge for them to count the number of dots and match the dominoes.

We visited a Christmas tree farm to pick out our tree.  This year is the first year for us to have a live tree.  We enjoyed a hay ride and walked around looking for the right tree.

The day before Thanksgiving the girls decorated turkeys to give to Daddy.

Thanksgiving was spent at Grandma and Grandpa's house.  Katie made an apple and a pumpkin pie and had so much fun playing in the dough and the flour.  Audrey was feeling sick so she spent most of the day being held and cuddled.

The day after Thanksgiving Daddy lit a fire and we decorated the Christmas tree.  Both Audrey and I weren't feeling well but, Daddy pulled it all together and we had a great time getting the tree decorated.
