Week of June 28, 2015

This week was filled with lots of friends and lots of outside play.  We're really trying to embrace the heat of the summer instead of being stuck inside for months.

Monday all the kids' friends came over to play.  Tuesday we just had Knox and Brex over but, we still had lots of fun.  The kids built castles and buildings with foam blocks and knocked them over with their cars.

Wednesday we met some other CC families at a park to play and give the moms a chance to talk about the upcoming school year.  It was really hard to be able to talk because the playground was so far away and I couldn't keep a good eye on the girls.  But, the kids had lots of fun playing.

Katie got home and made a playground with her geoboard.

Katie wanted to learn about water this week.  I am not quite sure what that means (haha) so we have been learning about the water cycle, swamps, rivers, ponds, etc.  The girls made a swamp scene with stickers.

Thursday the boys came to visit again.  The kids spent a couple hours playing with playdoh.
Of course, dress-up is always part of their day.

Boaz and Selah joined us for movie night Friday night.  The kids played with playdoh and watched Veggie Tales.

I love how Lillie is cuddled on the couch with the kids.

For the 4th of July we went to Grandma's.  The girls got to decorate the dining room table with flowers and flags.

They helped get the corn ready to cook.

We popped fireworks.  They weren't too crazy about the loud ones but, they loved the snakes, smoke bombs and poppers.
