We have had a whirlwind of activities over the past two weeks. I'm not even sure now exactly what we've been doing but, the past two weeks have gone by so quickly.
We had all the kids over a few times. They are all a little stir crazy because it has been so hot outside lately it's hard to play outside except in the very early morning.
We've enjoyed lots of books (as usual).
Naomi and I got some school activities laminated and cut out while the kids worked on their own cut and paste projects.
Katie and Audrey worked on some classifying. They separated pictures of plants and animals and glued them to different columns.
Anytime we get ready to leave the house the girls run and grab a book for the car ride. We went shopping with Grandma, Aunt Vicki and Rick. The girls had lots of fun and we even got to go to Olive Garden for lunch.
All the kids friends have gotten sick so to play it safe we've cancelled playdates for awhile. The girls have been keeping busy painting, coloring, doing stickers, doing puzzles and playing playdoh. Playdoh has been a favorite activity for the past two weeks.
We got Katie some perler beads and her and I spent a naptime putting together several pieces.
The girls don't mind the super hot weather, their little faces turn red but they still love swinging in the sun.
We've been doing housework in the evenings lately. A benefit of doing housework in the evening that I haven't realized until recently is that the girls can help out because both Mommy and Daddy are there to encourage and help them. Both girls have helped vacuum and mop.
Daddy and the girls made different kinds of food with playdoh.
Katie made an American flag during one of Audrey's naptimes.
We have been having so much fun making Fridays our "movie night" days. We've been enjoying ice cream and snacks for dinner while watching a movie. We have a huge blowup mattress that we set up in the den. The girls love it!
This past Friday the girls ate ice cream then played in their pool.
Saturday we visited both Grandma's and Grandmother's house.
We ate some delicious pizza for lunch at Grandma's. Audrey wanted Grandma to read her stories.
At Grandmother's house the girls got Grandmother up and dancing.
Our summer is quickly coming to a close. We are paying our Classical Conversations tuition this week and our first day of CC starts August 17. We've signed both girls up for dance class which starts in September.
