Week of May 31, 2015
We are enjoying the warmer weather this week. We learned about plants/seeds/flowers this week. One of our first projects was to color a flower pot and plant a bean seed. We put the bean seed in a clear baggie and taped it to the windowsill so the kids could see the roots growing down and the sprout growing up.
Tuesday it was finally dry enough to play outside. We spent the whole morning playing in the backyard. Katie and Knox started kicking the soccer ball around the yard and trying to keep it away from each other.
Audrey helped Daddy pick mint leaves for some mint tea.
The girls picked and ate some of the last of the sugarsnap peas.
This is how you will find the girls during most of their free time...reading a book.
The girls cuddling with Sugarpops.
Daddy had some help washing the car Friday.
We got a blowup mattress for the girls to watch movies on during our Friday night movie nights. They weren't really sure about it when we first opened the box but, after it was blown up they started jumping on it right away.
We went berry picking Saturday morning. We originally went for blueberries but, they weren't quite ripe yet so we picked blackberries instead. Audrey was a little picking machine! She was good at picking only the ripe berries and filled her bucket pretty quickly.
Saturday we ate burgers at Grandma's while the girls played in the new kiddie pool Aunt Vicki got them. Of course, the girls loved that the pool was pink! We all ended up sitting around the pool with our feet in the water.
A yummy ice cream treat!
