Week of June 7, 2015

It was a very different and relaxing week for us.  Daddy got to enjoy a vacation and spent most of 2 of those days just him and the girls!

I went to the first of many practicums for Classical Conversations in Tulsa while Daddy stayed home with the girls.  They had such a good time going on bike rides and walks on the trail and swimming in the backyard.

Monday and Tuesday the girls got to go on the trail with Daddy.  Monday they walked on the trail and collected rocks and leaves.  Tuesday they rode in the bike trailer and found flowers, frogs and turtles.

We all enjoyed some donuts Tuesday morning before I headed into Tulsa.  Katie called it her "donut picnic".

Wednesday I decided to stay home from practicum and we all went on another bike ride.

Rich has started some work restoring my grandmother's old bicycle.  He got to spend a lot of time on it this week.
We found some interesting yellow flowers (some as tall as Daddy), watched dragonflies and got eaten alive by mosquitos despite our bug spray.

The rest of Wednesday was spent in town at different stores and of course lunch at Taco Bueno.

Thursday the girls helped Daddy take the old bike apart and work on it.

Audrey wanted to sit on Katie's lap...they were so sweet cuddling.
The rest of Thursday was spent outside working on the bike and in the backyard playing in the water.

Friday Papa and Tina came over for a visit and to bring the girls some seashells from their vacation.

Saturday we met Grandma, Aunt Vicki and Ricky in Owasso for a little shopping.  I think the girls' favorite part is when we took a break at Sam's for some chocolate frozen yogurt.

Saturday night about 8:30 pm we spotted a rainbow.  We ran and got Katie out of bed.  She had never seen a rainbow before and although she was still half asleep she smiled.  The next morning she remembered seeing it.

Sunday morning the girls and I did some work in the garden before it got too hot.  Little Katie always wants to dress up so she chose one of her best dresses to go pick green beans in haha!

Little Audrey was more than happy to wear her mismatched butterfly shirt and polka dot pants!
It was one of the more relaxing weeks we've had in a long time.  The girls got tons of outside time, Daddy and his girls got lots of quality time together and I got hyped up and excited about starting CC with the girls this August!
