Our week was filled to the brim with heart shaped, valentine-themed art projects. We also got to celebrate 2 birthdays!
Monday we had Knox, Brex, Boaz and Selah over to make giant heart collages. Each kid's heart turned out so unique and beautiful.
Tuesday Knox and Brex helped the girls make a cake for Papa's birthday. We read the directions together and practiced counting, measuring and following directions.
While the cake baked the kids painted some giant hearts. They used white and red paint to make different shades of pink.
Audrey tried using her mouth to hold the paintbrush.
The kids got out Katie's piggy bank and we learned the names of the different coins and how to count to $1.00.
Katie really wanted Papa to have sprinkles on his cake.
We celebrated Papa's birthday Tuesday night.
All the kids came over again Thursday morning to celebrate Selah's birthday. The kids played with balloons, ate heart-shaped pizza and heart-shaped cupcakes.
Daddy surprised the girls and I with cards and roses for Valentine's Day. The girls were so proud of their flowers.
We met the girls' friends and their mommies and daddies at the art museum for a family day. We got to do three art projects, eat a picnic lunch and have a short storytime. The girls each got an art box with art supplies.
Our first art project was using doilies to make prints on paper.
The girls helped Daddy replace our faucet, which has been leaking for quite some time. They love helping their Daddy on all his projects.
