Week of October 26, 2014: Spider Week and Halloween

There's been a short break in the blogs lately...our computer hasn't been cooperating well.  Here's what we've been up to this past week.

We had a spider theme at our house and all the kids worked on making spider webs.  Miss Katie loves lacing so she was quick to help little Brex put his spider web together.  Audrey loved filling her spider web with spider stickers while Katie loved threading the yarn to make the web.

Audrey got to help me make cookies for the first time.  She sat on the counter and helped me pour in the ingredients and use the mixer.  Then she helped clean the dishes.

The girls both made a spider using the same pieces.  Katie used glue on her own and cut her spider legs out.  Audrey put tons of googly eyes on her spider.

On Wednesday all the kids made pumpkins using orange tissue paper and paper plates.

Sweet little girls cuddling on the couch.

We had a chili dinner at our house followed by a trip to Collinsville for their Halloween celebration.  Papa, Aunt Vicki, Grandma, Grandpa and Rick went with us.  We met Knox, Brex and Boaz there as well.  The atmosphere was a little busy and overwhelming for the little kids but, they all loved going inside the coffee shop for some ice cream.  After we left we went trick or treating in our neighborhood, including a visit to Mrs. Linda, our sweet children's librarian.

Katie wanted to help push her Grandpa.

She got to sit in a firetruck.

Audrey wasn't sure what to think of all the people.

Enjoying ice cream.

Sitting with Grandpa.

All the girls' projects from the week.  Audrey's is on the right and Katie's is on the left.
