Week of Sept. 1, 2014: First Week of Preschool

Talk about a full week!  We've had a wonderful, busy, exciting week.  Katie started her first day of Preschool!  We'll be doing a weekly theme for her preschool year so this first week was an All About Me theme.  We had Knox and Brex join us Wednesday for preschool.  Most weeks they will be with us on Mondays and Wednesdays.  The weather was terribly hot for the first part of the week but, by the weekend is was wonderfully cool so we got some nice outside time.

Monday morning started with a special treat of donuts for breakfast!  Then Katie and Audrey got ready for the day and put on their first day of school clothes.

Katie got to open a present of new school supplies.

The girls got busy right away with their new crayons and paper.

This is real life people haha!
We did our daily board together...the day of the week, how we are feeling, the weather, our weekly Bible verse and our weekly theme.

Katie drew a picture of emotions.
We made felt spaghetti and the girls cooked their spaghetti while we made ours for dinner.
We worked on fine motor skills, matching and patterns with our peg and board.

We went to Evan's house for tot school.  The kids made Mr. Potato heads and looked at their fingerprints with a magnifying glass.

Katie made a face out of playdoh.
 Audrey enjoys squishing the playdoh.
 Lillie and Katie...best buddies.
Katie wanted to paint just about every day this week.
Knox and Brex came over Wednesday and joined us for preschool.
The kids looked at a mirror while drawing self portraits.

Painting sometimes requires a bath in the sink.

Daddy and Katie did preschool together on Friday while I went grocery shopping.

The end of the week was beautiful weather and the girls loved going outside.
Audrey is getting pretty good at swinging on the regular swing.
Here's all the girls' artwork from this week.

We're doing an apple theme next week so Katie and I made apple playdoh!
