As usual we've had a very busy, exciting week full of activities. Uncle Benny got to come to town for a few days! Katie and her Uncle had a great time having a water balloon fight...poor Ben spent nearly an hour blowing up balloons for a few minutes of throwing them.
Katie started dance classes this week! We took a few pictures on the front porch before her first lesson. She had so much fun that she cried when we had to leave and begged us to take her back. They get their leotards, tights and ballet slippers soon so we'll definitely get her pictures in her new dance attire. She has such a wide variety of expressions, it's so much fun to capture them all.
We had a playdate at Evan's house this week. Katie and Evan got to make mini pizzas for their lunch. They had more fun making the pizzas than eating them.
They also played with playdoh, creating pizzas.
Miss Audrey is growing too quick. She loves watching her big sister and Lillie and laughs when they dance or play in front of her.
She's a cuddle bug and enjoys just sitting on our laps and relaxing with us.
We got the girls matching owl costumes and they came in the mail this week. Katie wore her hat while her and Daddy went on a bike ride.
Since Katie has her big girl bed it's funny to peek in on her at night and see if her legs are dangling out of bed. One night she even had her feet on the floor.
We met Papa and Tina at the park for the town's fair. Katie loved petting the bunnies in the petting zoo, riding in a firetruck and car and eating cotton candy.
Beautiful fall days are finally here! We've enjoyed more outside time and opening the windows in the house. We even moved Audrey's jumper outside so she could play while Katie and I weeded the flower garden.
Katie begged me to take a picture of her and her garden gnome.
We've started a new project with Katie, daily journaling. It's fun to see the ideas she comes up with and to caption her daily drawings. One day this week she decided to color using oven mitts.
Daddy and his girls cuddling before tucking Daddy into bed.
Daddy took the girls outside one morning while letting me sleep in (yes, he's the best!). Katie cuddled in the lawn chair for about an hour with her pillow and blanket while they watched the sun rise.
We're so excited for our fall activities to start. Katie and I made a fall sensory tub with leaves, acorns, gourds, pumpkins and fall scented candles. This is the first sensory tub Audrey has been able to participate in and Katie has enjoyed telling Audrey about the colors and textures of the pumpkins and gourds.
