End of August to Start of September

We worked on our farm week a little bit more until Katie started to lose interest.  One of her favorite activities was playing in the "mud" with brown playdoh.  She liked putting her little animals in the playdoh and making prints with them.

Audrey and Lillie have been doing tummy time together.  Lillie tries to do everything that the girls do.  She likes the attention just like the girls.

Sometimes the activities I think Katie will enjoy the most just don't work out.  I thought Katie would have a blast playing with shaving cream but, she only played for about 10 minutes with lots of encouragement from Daddy and I.  Oh well.

Katie has been trying to interact with Audrey more.  She reads to her, does tummy time and tries to get her attention.

We've been finding lots of fun little critters for Katie to observe in her critter cage.  The other day we found a tree frog jumping in the living room.  We watched him in the critter cage a few minutes before letting him back outside.

Katie had a few playdates last week, one with Evan and one with Knox.  Both boys had fun painting with Katie.

For the rest of September we're doing lots of letter, number, shape and color activities.  We read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and Katie made a palm tree complete with letters, just like the book.

Katie has now graduated to a big girl bed!  She and Daddy worked together to get her crib changed into a toddler bed.  Surprisingly this transition was very easy for Katie and she's done good staying in her bed during nap times and at bed times.
