Our Week: Mother's Day

Yet another wonderful week at the Vaughan house.  It took me awhile to get these pictures on the computer because Lillie chewed up the camera cord.  Luckily we were able to use the SD card to get the pictures for this week on the computer, it just has to be done manually.

Katie painted this week.  I gave her blue and yellow paint so when she inevitably mixed it together it would make a color other than brown...lol!  We painted on paper and also on some paper towel tubes to mix it up a little.  We're going to use the paper towel tubes for another activity so they'll be beautifully painted when we get to them.

We stayed home on Mother's Day.  Rich and Katie started marinating steaks early in the morning.  Katie likes to sit on the counter and help us cook.

As she sat on the counter she helped herself to some fruit.  She ate these little plumcots (plums/apricots) all week long.

Relaxing on the back porch while Daddy grilled steaks.

The day after Mother's Day we went Rich's parents.  Katie LOVED jumping on her cousin's trampoline.

Rich and I had a wonderful time jumping, too!

Katie and her puppy watching Sesame Street.

We got Katie a potty seat.  Right now we're just working on getting used to sitting on the potty.  This is the one of those pictures we'll show her later on just to embarass her but, isn't she too cute?!

Playing in the water.

This week at storytime it was a puppy theme.  We brought Lillie to the library for the kids to play with...luckily my Dad was able to come to storytime, too.  He was such a big help with Katie and Lillie, it would have been hard to wrangle those two by myself.  Thanks Pops!

Katie and I go to the garden every morning to water and weed.  Katie loves digging in the dirt and eating the sugar snap peas.  She's also starting to help with the watering.
