Week of January 3, 2016

We started our week off with CC.  Katie made egg tempura paint using egg yolks and crushed chalk.

Tuesday morning Katie woke up not feeling well and got sick.  Daddy made her a fire and we drug the beanbags into the living room.  Katie and Audrey snuggled next to the fire and read lots of books.  Luckily Katie's little bug passed quickly and by lunchtime she was back to herself.

The girls ate cheerios and bananas while listening to our Bible reading for the day in Matthew.

We colored a layers of the Earth coloring sheet then the girls cut and taped paper and made nests with eggs in them.

Magnatiles...the girls really enjoy them.

Daddy reading a book with the girls.

Daddy's birthday was this week so we got him a drone.  He's been having fun flying it around and the girls love watching it fly.

Thursday morning before all the kids got to our house Katie and Audrey wanted to do a science experiment.  So we got out our science kit.

We made a cake for Daddy Thursday night.

The girls decorated the cake with tons of sprinkles.

They also ate tons of sprinkles.

Friday morning we went to the local nursing home for a multigeneration story time.  The girls (and the residents) enjoyed their time together.

After storytime we made a quick trip to the library then went back to the house to pick up Daddy for his birthday lunch.

After lunch and a trip to a popcorn shop we headed home for movie night.  The girls had picked out some cotton candy at the popcorn shop.

Then we had Daddy's birthday cake.

Saturday we spent time with Grandma, Grandpa, Vicki and Ricky.  Sunday morning we took some donuts to Papa and Tina's house then headed back home for some school.

Katie taught Audrey how to sort during our math lesson Sunday.

During Audrey's naptime on Sunday Katie excavated some crystals in a crystal mining kit.  We learn about the 3 different types of rocks tomorrow in CC so this seemed to be a fitting project.
