The holidays are over and we started getting back into our school routine this week. It snowed a little bit on Monday so the girls went out and played while I made hot chocolate.
Several cups of hot chocolate later we got out our animal counters and worked on some math. Katie worked on AABB patterns and Audrey had fun playing with the animals and working a little on some AB patterns just because she wants to be like her big sister.
Tuesday we had Knox and Brex over during the day. In the evening we went to Papa and Tina's for their Christmas.
Wednesday the girls played inside with some of their new toys and went outside and ate snow and icicles.
We also went to the library Wednesday. The puffy paint art project the librarian had ready turned into sensory play for the girls.
Sweet Katie always surprises us with the unique ways she chooses to fall asleep. One night this week she crawled into her pillowcase to sleep.
Katie has been randomly writing and making cards. She likes to make a gift and put a tag on it with the name of the person the gift is for. She wrote my name this week and did a really good job forming her letters.
The girls helped their Daddy put together a small shelf for the den.
Thursday all the kids came over. We danced to the Freeze song, played a reading game, played with playdoh and all the other new toys.
Katie and Audrey reading one of their favorite books together. They are looking for the hidden duck on each page.
They wanted a picture by the tree before we took it down. I told the girls to put their arms around each other for the picture and Audrey said, "I'll put my arms around myself!"
