Week of April 7, 2014: Bird Week

We've been learning about birds this week!

 

 Katie used playdoh, feathers, squiggly eyes, pipe cleaners and construction paper to make birds.  She used bird books and bird figurines to create a blue bird.

Audrey had fun playing with the feathers and of course tasting them.

Katie wanted to get the paint out and paint with a feather.

We also worked on some Handwriting without Tears.  Katie practiced her cutting skills...

 ...built Mat man...

 and worked in her workbook practicing her coloring.

Audrey has graduated to a big girl carseat!

Daddy and his girls built a garden around the bird feeder station.  Then Katie and I planted blueberry bushes.

Katie said, "Look, I'm a picture in a picture frame!"

We ordered some caterpillars and Katie was so excited to open her box and see her new little critters.

Katie and I made meatballs...so delicious!

Miss Audrey is getting so big....she loves climbing on the chair and watching out the window.  The library book box is right by the chair so she usually grabs a book while she's bouncing in the chair.
