Week of April 21, 2014: Audrey turns 1!!!

This week has been filled with learning about butterflies and caterpillars and with celebrating Miss Audrey Ann's Birthday!



 

 

Our caterpillars formed their chrysalises the beginning of the week.  We took them out of their container and moved them to their cage.

We had fun with a Very Hungry Caterpillar theme.

Katie worked with teddy bear counters and pattern blocks.

She also had fun with her Handwriting without Tears.

Katie and Audrey helped make Audrey's dirt cake for her birthday.  Katie stirred the pudding and both girls smashed the cake into little pieces.

Week of April 14, 2014

We've had lots of fun this week...here's what we've been up to...

 

Daddy and Katie made a car out of a cardboard box...

We made letters using our lines and curves from Handwriting without Tears...

Katie and Audrey drove all over the house in their car...

We had lots of outside time playing on the swingset...

Both girls sat at the picnic table and colored...

We broke out he bubble machine and played with bubbles in the den...

Katie worked in her Handwriting without Tears notebook...

Katie had fun making a "tree house" with her pattern blocks...

We learned about insects in tot school...

Hunted Easter eggs...

 Opened Easter baskets from Grandmother and Grandfather, Mommy and Daddy, Grandma and Grandpa, Papa and Tina and Aunt Vicki (it was a lot of Easter baskets haha)

 

 

This picture makes me smile...Grandpa had all his dogs and Audrey sitting around him watching him eat cake.
