Week of January 27, 2014: Sick Babies

We have had a very interesting week.  Starting Tuesday both our little girls came down with a fever...poor things ended up with an upper respiratory virus.  So...we did a lot of laying around and relaxing (or as Katie would say, "laxing").

Audrey perfected her two-handed spoon technique for eating prunes.

Katie did a lot of tv watching.

Audrey has felt a lot better than Katie and only had a couple really rough days.

Katie played a little bit with her new Princess Sophia castle.

She did a little painting.

Oh my goodness, I opened the freezer and dumped A LOT of coffee on the floor.  Well, no use crying over spilled coffee, let's make it a sensory experience and write and draw in it!  Thanks Daddy for the great idea!  Katie had lots of fun drawing in the coffee and then helped sweep it up.

One of the shows Katie watched this week showed you how to draw.  Katie wanted to get out her crayons and try drawing like on the show.

Katie helped put up the silverware...she's barely tall enough to reach.

Both girls loved watching the birds in the snow.

Katie used her scissors to hold chalk and color on her chalkboard.

But, we mostly just laid around, cuddling on the couch.  The girls had a couple really hard nights where there wasn't much sleep because of coughing but, luckily Daddy took off Thursday night and we made it through the roughest part.
