Our Week: Teething Troubles

Poor Ms. Katie had a couple of really, really rough days due to teething.  Wednesday and most of Thursday she hurt and cried all day.  She took two naps each day and went to bed early.  The good news is she woke up Friday feeling much better and I can see two molars and the top that have poked their way through...yay!
We've had a wonderful week (despite the teething episode) so here's what we've been up to:

We went to see my grandparents.  Katie got to color with markers (a first for her) and play with her great grandparents.

We've spent the rest of our week playing outside.....

...dealing with teething (no pictures for a few days).....

...we've been working on sign language.  Here's our little girl watching Signing Time ( a wonderful show on PBS that teaches different signs using American Sign Language) and trying to sign with the kids on the show.

Katie made a groundhog at the library (it's in her hand on a popsicle stick).

Rich has been doing some woodworking this week.  Katie helped him sand some pieces of wood.

Lots of cuddle time with Daddy.

I've been browsing pinterest for things for Ms. Kate to keep her busy while I cook, clean, do laundry, etc.  Here was a super easy, super cheap idea that she LOVED!  Putting straws in and out of bottles.  It really helps her work on her fine motor skills, too.  She got a kick out of it and it kept her entertained for quite some time.

Katie made a circle collage.  She really liked gluing down the circles, then picking them up and rearranging them.  She had to get them just right.
