Bike Trailer

Most of you know our dog Zak (aka "That's the biggest german shepherd I've ever seen!").  Well, poor Zakie hasn't been getting the attention he was used to since baby girl got here.  No more sleeping in the house, no more long walks and he's been feeling it!  We noticed how much energy he had and how bored he was and figured it was time to do something about it.  Besides we couldn't go in our backyard without getting mauled by the gigantic ball of fur.
When we first started dating we bought some bikes and went riding on the Creek Turnpike Trail in Tulsa quite often.  After we got Zak we would take him on long rides down the trail where we live.  It helped get that puppy energy out of him and he loved it.  Last spring and summer we didn't ride our bikes since I was pregnant.  We decided it was time to go riding again and for all four of us to go that meant getting a bike trailer.  We found a reasonably priced one at Target and quickly put it together.

Katie ate bananas as she watched her Daddy set up the trailer.
The box recommended the child be at least one-year-old but we decided to try it out anyways.

Katie LOVED it but we didn't like the way the straps fit so we decided to put her in her carseat and put the carseat in the bike trailer.

This worked much better and we were ready to ride!

Zak was really excited when he saw us bring out the bikes

And for those of you who can't get enough Katie pictures here's some close-ups of our beautiful girl enjoying her ride!  The bike trailer worked great...we've been on several rides and it actually wears Zak out.
