Week of October 11, 2015

We started off our week at CC.  Katie got to dissect an owl pellet.  She enjoyed this activity but, after she found and identified a few bones she was pretty much done.  She has been very interested in bones and how the body works so she did enjoy seeing actual bones.

Because we're on fall break next week (Katie's birthday week) she made and brought cupcakes for her class this week.  She also did her presentation on how she made the cupcakes.

Scrap paper, markers and scissors are a kids' best friend around here.  They got very creative making bookmarks, cards and tickets.

Playdoh is another favorite and Katie loves making cookies and cupcakes.

Daddy made a quick firepit and we cooked some smores over the fire for a special treat on Saturday.

Then Papa and Tina came over for dinner and some fun outside time.

Since this week is fall break we are going to take some time and do some fun activities with our memory work over the past 8 weeks.  Sunday morning we placed some chia seed and birdseed on sponges to grow monocot and dicot plants.

And of course, we had our traditional Sunday morning muffins!
