Our Week: Our Baby Girl Turned 11 months!

Baby Girl still loves lemons!  She likes to suck the insides out of them and never makes a face.
We went to Pioneer Day in our little town on Saturday.  There was some little fair rides and a parade.  Katie liked playing at the park.
 Her new shoes...aren't they cute?!
Katie got to slide on a slide for the first time.
Daddy and Katie played on the seesaw.
Katie enjoyed watching the parade...she waved at the horses.
We got to eat out this week...Katie liked eating french fries and lemons.
We went to the pet shop...Katie loved watching the parakeets which were right on her level.
Library day was lots of fun, as usual.  Katie had fun playing with her little friends....
 playing with puzzles.....
and picking out some new board books.
We went to the park after the elibrary and Katie got to swing for the first time.
I don't know what this thing is called but Katie had fun on it.
Katie loves dogs and laughs when Zak comes to the door.  Zak likes licking Katie through the screen and Katie thinks that's hilarious.
Katie and I planted a mum in the front garden.
We got a Fred 3...we've had a betta fish each year that we've been married...each one has been named Fred.
We've got our 29 gallon tank set up with lots of live plants and some ghost shrimp.
We finally have our 55 gallon tank fully stocked this week.  We have three big schools of fish and some other bigger fish in the tank.  You can't see in the picture but it looks pretty good.

11 months old

Katie turned 11 months old yesterday.....*sniff sniff*.  We love that our baby girl is growing and learning everday, I just wish she would slow down...just a teeny bit.  She's such a happy girl and loves to be around new places and people.  We go on a walk at least once a day and Katie waves at everyone that goes by on the trail.
She's got the tiniest, fattest little feet.  It's hard to find shoes that fit her because if they fit the length of her foot, her foot is too chubby to fit into them.
Her expressions are endless and always make me smile!  She loves making goofy faces at people, just to get a reaction out of them.

This is her serious face.  She can't hold that serious look for long but she likes to point at you all the while looking serious, then she'll crack up laughing.

She started trying to brush her own hair.  Everytime she gets out of the tub she gets her hair brushed so the day before yesterday she took the brush right out of my hand and started trying to brush her own hair.  Ever since then she's been carrying her brush around, brushing everything and everyone with it.

She is really into shaking things right now.  She'll grab a toy and shake away.  I filled some bottles with different things, this one has some sand and sea shells.  She loves the different noises each one of them makes.

She sits like this all the time.  She likes to bounce when she's sitting like this, too.
She still loves books but in a different way.  She loves turning the pages and pointing at the pictures.  She doesn't like to be read to as much but she likes it when you point at the pictures and talk about them.  She also likes touch and feel books.

Our Week and Momma in Focus

Not much to report on this week.  It's been pretty relaxing around here...we've been enjoying the beautiful weather and going outside a lot.

I finally got myself in a picture with Katie.  It seems like a long time since we've gotten a good picture together.

We got a new stroller for Katie.  It's smaller and easier to push which will make it great for vacations and shopping.  Of course Katie had to help her Daddy put it together.

I love Katie's goofy face in this one.

Our super sweet librarian got this book for Katie.  It's all about dogs and Katie loves looking through it and pointing at all the pictures.

Rich cleaned up Katie and dinner dishes at the same time lol!  Katie helped scrub the pan while she was in the sink getting cleaned off.

Katie scribbled for teh first time at the library on thursday.  She picked the crayons out of the basket and scribbled like she had been doing it forever.  Her atention span lasted through two color sheets.  Rich took one to work to hang up in his locker.

Katie is standing up on her own a lot now.  She was pretty upset about it today, though.  I think she wants to walk but can't figure out how to do it.

Our goofy baby girl!  She's started making this face and blowing air in and out of her nose.  She thinks she's hilarious when she does it...we agree!

The little monkey is learning to climb!

Catching Up

It's been awhile since writing the last post so it's time for a catch-up.  We've been having our same old weekly routine...playdates on Wednesdays, library on Thursdays, great weekends on Sunday and Mondays.  We've had a few visitors, including my grandparents and we've visited a few family members including Rich's parents and my other set of grandparents.  Unfortunatly we had a death in the family, Rich's Aunt Carol.  Please keep the family in your prayers as they deal with the loss.  We're looking forward to going on vacation to Eureka in a few weeks.

Grandmother and Grandfather came over for a visit and Grandfather enjoyed squeezing baby girl.  Doesn't her face just crack you up?!
Katie loved playing "This little piggie".

She got a nice shower after her dinner of pizza.

My two favorite people...aren't they cute?!

We tried putting a bow in her hair...she has just enough hair on top for it to barely hang on.

Katie got a new carseat....I think she had more fun playing on it then she does sitting in it.

I am sooo thankful for this beautiful weather!  Katie and I have been spending lots of time outside during the day.  She loves playing in the grass and watching Zak.

She really enjoys her new baby doll.  She holds it and hugs it and gives it to us to cuddle.  It's really sweet to watch her.

She started blowing rasberries lately and this is the face she makes.  Great-Grandma Sue made her those pajamas....so adorable!
And the pj's come complete with lace on the bootie...to cute!

It's been cold enough on our morning walks for baby girl to wear a jacket.

Rich thought it would be fun for everyone to come up with a caption for this picture....
